The VA office of MedSource Consultants has changed its name to BAS HealthCare and is no longer affiliated with MedSource Consultants.  BAS HealthCare and MedSource Consultants will operate as independent entities and continue to serve its clients and conduct business as usual.

BAS HealthCare has been recruiting physicians since 1996. Over the past 12 years, our firm has established valuable and long-standing connections with physicians and clients across the country.  Today, we represent clients nationwide and maintain a database of over 40,000 physicians and hiring authorities.  

What We Do for Hiring Authorities

BAS HealthCare allows you to post your recruiting needs on our website – free of charge.  We offer a complimentary opportunity to share your opportunities with our network of physicians.   Once you post your job details, only physician candidates and your organization will be able to review your positions – avoiding unwanted solicitation.  If a physician registered in our database fits the requirements of your opportunity, you'll receive an email alert notifying you of a potential match.

What We Do for Physician Candidates

BAS HealthCare offers complimentary service for physicians to post their CV and job requirements.  Upon joining our network, you'll be connected with a specialty physician from our experienced team who's focus is finding you the right opportunity for the long run.  We offer our expertise to you every step of the way and listen intently to your personal and professional needs– all to ensure a successful placement.

We offer an extensive and regularly updated database, providing you with access to nationwide opportunities in every possible geographic region and practice setting –medical-surgical and specialty hospitals, single and multi-specialty group practices, solo opportunities, managed care organizations, and academic institutions.   Once you share your job requirements with our network, our database will match any potential opportunities to your needs and send you an email alert.

You might have heard that working with a physician recruiter affects the salary offered to you, but this is NOT true.  Your salary is in no way affected by working with us.  We help negotiate the salary you want and ensure your job encompasses all of your clinical and personal requirements.  Many facilities we work with are focused on patient care and look to us to recruit qualified candidates who best match their needs.   The contracts we hold with individual facilities are completely separate from a potential employment contract for you if hired.  So rest assured, BAS HealthCare will only help you reach your highest income potential and not hinder your financial package.

Our Recruiting Guidelines

BAS HealthCare firmly abides by the laws and ethics of physician recruiting giving candidates and clients further incentive to utilize our services. Our firm is uncompromising when it comes to offering anything less than superior service. The following are critical guidelines our recruiters are committed to abide by:

  • All physicians (candidates) are presented with our client's job opportunities in full and accurate detail. BAS HealthCare relies on clients to provide complete job descriptions and to keep us apprised of any and all changes in job profiles.

  • Our clients are assured their opportunities will be presented in their absolute entirety and all candidates have consented to have their CV’s submitted.

  • If a client receives submissions of a CV from more than one firm, it's understood per industry standard the firm referring the CV first is the procuring agent of the candidate. In the instance that the initial referring firm failed to present the opportunity to the candidate or failed to obtain permission from the candidate to submit his/her CV, this standard does not apply.

  • We engage in frequent communication with our clients and candidates during the recruitment process.

  • At all times, our recruiters conduct themselves in an ethical and professional manner.
